Personality:
Sun-Hwa is a bubbly, playful, and rather silly girl. She’s friendly and kind to all those she may meet. Despite her general amiable nature, she does understand boundaries and tends to realize when she’s maybe talking too much or just in general when to back away from a situation or conversation.
There’s no denying that Sun-Hwa is a bit of a dork. With niche interests, strange hobbies, and total fascination with the occult and all things marine mammal, it’s not surprising that she can be a bit of a dweeb. Doesn’t help that she’s extremely well versed on most everything that interests her.
Not only is she a dork but she’s also a weirdo on top of it. Her behavior and speech is often rather “cringe” due to her just speaking without really thinking that it may be something lame. Not that she cares, she just is a silly girl who wants to be herself.
Even if the self in question is definitely strange.
Lumi always aims to be true to herself— Even to an embarrassing extent. However, she does tend to mimic others' behaviors and actions to appear less. . . Odd. Not like it helps considering if picked up on, it makes her look even more of a dork than before.
As much as she is friendly and somewhat fun to be around, Lumi does get drained easily. In big groups of people or just in general with interacting with others Lumi manages pretty well all things considered— However, she tends to need to take breathers or just recharge afterwards and keep to herself.
Since she was bullied for most of her early years due to her eccentricity, she often immediately clings to anyone she feels is nice to her - even if their aura is tainted. Often developing little one-sided “crushes” or just being emotionally attached to them to the point where it’s kinda lame. However, she’s not a pushover and she’s not a freak about these feelings she has. She just brushes them off as she does understand that it’s just the fact that she feels things in a more deep way. Sun-Hwa can place boundaries for herself and place her foot down when she feels it’s necessary as well. That being said, her kindness isn’t something that can be taken advantage of.
Lumi considers herself a good judge of character—
The reason being that she’s an empath.
Sun-Hwa feels things deeply. Emotions, sensations, feelings— A 6th sense. She’s extremely in tune with the emotions and auras of others - dead or alive. Lumi has always had this connection and ability from a young age and even still, she struggles sometimes with it. Negative emotions tend to make her extremely nauseous and or nervous whenever faced with them — Especially when she herself is feeling them. Too much of her own negative emotions tend to send her into an emotional overflow status. Whenever upset, she’s bound to cry and tremble. Whenever sad, she’s bound to shut down or self-deprecate.
Due to this, she often will try to stick around people who seemingly are enjoying themself or in a positive mindset to sap up their vibe. . . Like a little leech.
This ability of hers also is the reason why she needs to take her breathers — And the reason why she has a connection with spirits.
Lumi cannot exactly see ghosts, due to her extrasensory perception she can sense them deeply. She is aware of their presences and she can communicate with them— But she cannot see them, at least not in a very solid manner. It’s instead more of a sensation of knowing they’re there and seeing their energy unless the spirit wants to be seen by her.
This ability to communicate with those on the other side comes with its disbelief— As usually, it comes off as something that is fake. Which causes Lumi to get defensive about it. Typically, she will not admit to her ability to communicate with the paranormal unless she feels comfortable around the person. Mainly because it’s something that makes her “stand out” and makes her an easy target to pick on. Avoiding talking about it makes her feel more “normal” than not— But she doesn’t exactly hide it either. She knows it’s important to her and that her ESP ability is something she’s blessed with and that it’s an important part of herself. . . So when close with people or with people who possibly will believe her claims, she’s a lot more open about it.
That being said, she doesn’t particularly believe others when they claim they can communicate with spirits. Mainly due to many people claiming to be on that level but lying to profit from it. In particular, fortune tellers and spirit mediums who just say whatever to make some money or scam people. This doesn’t just apply to ghosts but also animals as well — Given she can’t stand animal exploitation for entertainment.
Due to this, she’s always a bit skeptical when around others who claim these types of abilities as she treats the deceased with the utmost respect.
All and all, Lumi is a sweet girl who definitely has a lot of oddities and may come off as weird- But she’s got a good heart and has good intentions despite how she may go about them.

Strengths:
6TH SENSE - Lumi’s ability to communicate and sense the presence of spirits, fine tuned emotional intelligence, intuition, and general ability to read others “auras” is her biggest strength. Her ESP works as her strongest form of perception of not only herself but the world around her.
INTELLIGENT - Sun-Hwa is a very smart girl. She’s well-versed on a multitude of things. Especially the sea and the occult. However those are just the big things she’s super into, she has many other things she studied or learned about in her time at school and just on her own.
AMIABLE - Even with her low social battery when it comes to the living, Sun-Hwa is pretty pleasant to be around! Even if she’s a bit weird. Her ability to adapt to those she converses with and being friendly to those she meets makes her someone who isn’t too bad to be around.Weaknesses:
6TH SENSE - Despite it being her biggest strength, it’s also her biggest weakness. Her sensitivity to things causes her to grow exhausted or easily overwhelmed rather quickly. Especially when it deals with the living as it’s extremely easy to drain her or cause her to overflow when faced with negativity that eats away at her due to her ability to feel things so deeply.
CARING TOO MUCH - Lumi cares deeply for those she ends up close to but her concern for others difficulties often overshadow her care for herself. Often leading to compassion fatigue.
“PERSON” PLEASER - Her tie to spirits is a blessing and a curse. . . Due to her affinity to spirits over the living - She’s particularly easily manipulated, especially by spirits as she’s not a person pleaser but. . . A ghost pleaser. This also applies to the living — If she develops an actual bond with someone she’s bound to fall for their manipulation.
